Thankful

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm truly thankful for so many things, including the health of my kids, love of family, and the ability to create. It's also a bittersweet time, because it's the first Thanksgiving without my mom. But I'm truly thankful to be able to celebrate all the blessings God has poured out in spite of the difficult times.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks Ladies!

Hi there, and happy Monday to you! Well the weather was perfect and the Encinitas Street Fair was so much fun yesterday. I'm very thankful to all of the lovely ladies who came out and made my day so special. A big thanks goes out to Bev, Karen, and Judy who are such loyal clients. I appreciate you so much! XOXO
I decked out my dress form with white wings, and thought she looked festive for the holidays. (and no she's not supposed to be a victoria secret model...I heard that a few times! ;) Here's the link where I bought them online. The street fair was a great success, and I had great fun people watching, and even dog watching. I need to start taking pics of some of the dogs I see, like 3 Great Danes with hats on. :) I'm going to go back to my weekly Palm Springs street fair Dec 3rd where a guy brings his wolf! I need to get a picture of that too. Anyway, as Thanksgiving approaches, I wanted to share what I'm thankful for: family/friends, making stuff with my hands, living in California, going through struggles to help me appreciate everything, knowing each day is a gift from God.

What are you most thankful for?
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Take care,
Martha

Count Your Blessings

Happy Thanksgiving!
Do you ever find it hard to be thankful?  I mean between watching the news about the economy, what the job rate is and home prices, it's enough to bring anyone down.  (On the radio the other night I heard about a study conducted that said money or even the mention of money makes a person meaner!)  And an ungrateful attitude causes a person to dwell on what they don't have instead of what they do have, and places fear inside the soul.  Some of the most miserable people I know happen to be the most ungrateful and fearful.  Instead of cultivating this spirit of ungratefulness and fear, I want to start something new this Thanksgiving season.  What about counting your blessings, and naming them one by one?

This year around the Thanksgiving table have each person name 3 things they are thankful for.  And you can do this yourself before you go to bed at night too.  You'd be amazed how this simple act can help you develop a grateful spirit.  And no matter what your circumstances may be this Holiday Season, being grateful can make you a happier person.  :)

Gratefulness is a state of mind that should be practiced daily instead of yearly.  Make everyday Thanksgiving.
3 things I'm thankful for are- my family, my eyesight, the use of my hands.
What are 3 things you're thankful for?
Happy Thanksgiving,
Martha
