Hi! Thanks to everyone who came out to the Carlsbad Street Fair. It was a great one, and I'm just sorry I didn't have enough of my charms to go around. It's been a challenge lately to keep up with demand, which is really a good thing. This is a view of my little booth. I got the wings for my dress form from a Halloween shop that was having a sale. I had to take them down later in the day because it got windy and I thought she might fly away.
What was I thinking when I made white tablecloths? Oh well, at least I can bleach them.
Hope you had a nice weekend. The weather here in CA has been gorgeous today, after some early morning fog (we call it "May Grey" which turns into "June Gloom") Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I wanted to show you what I've been up to. My last show was a great success, and I really appreciate everyone who came out to Encinitas. It was a gorgeous day. At the show, a lovely lady asked me if I made my ornaments any bigger. Hmmmm, I thought, I don't but maybe I should. So I went to my favorite stained glass store, Alpine Stained Glass in San Diego, and found out they make beveled glass that's 6x9" So I hurried and bought some. The lilac ornament pictured is what I came up with. It was definitely more difficult to handle, but I love the way it turned out. I'll be bringing this one and more to the Palm Springs Villagefest tomorrow night, and the Carlsbad Street Fair this Sunday, May 2 from 8-5. I'll be near the corner of Grand and Carlsbad Blvd. if you're planning on going. It's been called the biggest show in the country, and it's fun for me because it's in my home town. Come by and say hi to me if you get the chance. Well, back to work!
Hi There! It's the busy time of year for me, with shows sprouting up with spring. If you're in the San Diego area, I'll be at the Encinitas Street Fair tomorrow, Saturday April 23 from 9-5. It's a beautiful place for a show, and it's really close to the beach. Find me at booth #947 on Coast Hwy near "H" street, in downtown Encinitas, CA.
A great big thank you to Carlsbad! It was a terrific street faire, and I am so grateful to all of you who came and so generously supported my business. And thanks to the husbands, sons and brothers who allowed their wives, mothers and sisters shop for so long in my girly girl booth! I know it's hard hanging out in a white, sparkly, tutu encrusted booth. :) You are truly kind! I always get a kick out of watching the men approach my booth. They come to a complete stop outside of it, almost like they've hit an invisible shield that they can't cross. It's very funny to me, and it happens all day long.
