A Positive Attitude

OK, I'll be the first to admit it, sometimes I have a bad attitude. I mean a really bad one, you can ask my family, they'd be the first to agree. Those negative conversations you have in your head can really affect your emotions, and attitude. "Boy you're looking old and tired today" "Why can't you be as successful as them?" "Wow, have you gained weight!" and on and on the list goes. It also leads to complaining. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said, "Stop Global Whining" That one made me laugh.
Don't you admire people who can keep positive attitudes, especially in the middle of tragedy? I've met many on blogs who blow me away with what they face, and still remain happy. Maybe you're one of those who do have a positive attitude, or maybe you struggle like me. So much of attitude is really a choice, you can choose to be angry, mean, or sorry for yourself, (and these are things I struggle with) or you can be kind, grateful and think of others, bringing happiness to those around you.
With attitude in mind, I'd love it if you'd vote for the saying you like best. You can vote over in the upper right hand corner. I'm making the winner into an ornament so it can remind me through the day how important an attitude is. Thanks for your help!
Take care,
Martha

Hi Martha,
Unfortunately, I get in my bad attitude moods! I always wish I could be one of those chippy peppy people, but as much as I try it's truly hard. I am lucky though to be blessed with a wonderful positive husband though, so he always lifts me up when I'm in a bad mood!
I love the second saying, I would love to have this ornament, it would be fabulous!
Have a great day.
Sincerely,
Melinda

Hi Martha,
I voted for the first one! They are all great quotes.

I am with you... I can be really chipper and upbeat and positive but boy oh boy do I have my down days. I guess almost every woman does. I am really good at changing my attitude when I need to. I don't stay down for too long, so that's good. I always remind myself to pull up my big girl pants and get movin'n and snap out of it!

Hope you had a really nice Thanksgiving.

Hugs,
Holly

Hi Martha,
I happen to like the first one because I believe your attitude and countenance is contagious. I you approach somebody with even a hint of a negative look on your face their inner dialogue is already asking "oh no what's wrong".

BTW I spent a day with Melinda from ARD and I don't believe for a second that there's a bad attitude bone in her body. "Just saying Melinda". Anyway, I am blessed with a husband with a very happy disposition too, that, can really help a girl out in life.

Can't wait to see which one wins!

Blessings,
Irma

Martha, I can't even imagine you being cranky! You are such a doll.

I was thinking the other day about this very thing while I was looking in the mirror and wondering just when it was that the neck started to go south. I actually made myself stop and remember that I am 55 and it could be worse...it could be everything on my body, but so far it's mostly just the neck thing going on.LOL!

I LOVE this picture!!!
I voted for the first quote. Love it.

Thank you for coming by and wishing me well. I so appreciate you.
hugs

Hello my friend. I visited yesterday but needed time to think these over. For me I think I like "attitude is everything" because it puts a personal responsibility on it...an ownership, as in "I decide how I feel and react to life". Such a beautiful ornament, such a beautiful artist.
All my love to you, Deb ♥♥♥

Hey Martha! I was torn between the first 2, but they're all great quotes... I voted for the first one! I think Holly's right, us women tend to let our minds wander from time to time, but that's why we've girlfriends- they can remind us of our strength and beauty.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hugs,
Christine

Hi Martha,
I don't need to tell you how much alike we are, now do I? I am so lucky to have a sister who lifts me up and I hope that I do the same. Like the other voters, I was torn between the first two. But I kept coming back the first one because it really shows how our attitude affects not just ourselves, but others. So just remember, the next time you start feeling old: I'M 9 YEARS OLDER!!!
I love you,
Jan :)

OK miss crabby pants!!
We all feel like that now and then, it's normal.
All you can do is to try to be positive and cheerful.
Happy Tuesday!!
Rosemary
